HERBS & SPICES YOU NEED IN YOUR KITCHEN

When it comes to homemade food and healthy eating, I’ve noticed that the right type and amount of spices do have a huge impact on your meal. Many people assume that eating healthy is boring, however it doesn’t have to be. An organized kitchen, well equipped with different herbs & spices will make the difference. Spices are cheap, easy to store and they can be used in so many different ways. When I travel I love to go to a local market and get spices there. When back home they can always transport you to foreign lands with exotic flavors and make you feel comforted with your memories. I’m storing all of my spices in a kitchen drawer, protected from direct light and heat in small glasses (not plastic boxes) which are re-usable and easy to clean. Down below are my all-time favorite spices I always have at home.

ORANGE CRANBERRY SMOOTHIE

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a smoothie recipe. Today I was craving something with berries but not summer berries. As we are getting closer to Thanksgiving, many stores sell fresh cranberries so I decided to buy some and tried a few different recipes. This is my final version of a healthy orange cranberry smoothie and it would make a fantastic after-holiday drink in case you’d prefer something lighter.

Many people start to work out because one of their main fitness goals is to lose weight. Getting into a calorie deficit can be extremely challenging for some, not because they are mentally unprepared, most of the time they are distracted whilst eating without knowing it or might not know the importance of their eating environment. Overeating is one major reason why several people don’t reach their goal or tend to give up too soon. When I changed my lifestyle I fell for some of the exact same reasons. Old habits cannot be eliminated over night, we have to learn new habits and especially we need to know what we can do better.
